This Rwandan coffee is the result of an initiative that supports young farmers across the country’s Nyaruguru region.
Best suited to pour overs and other filter-based methods of brewing, we taste a strong punch of hibiscus followed by a sticky sweetness.
Thanks to its strong herbal notes and sticky caramel undertones, this Rwanda coffee makes for an enjoyable cup at any time of the day.

About this coffee
This coffee comes from Fugi Washing Station, operated by Baho Coffee in Rwanda’s Nyaruguru District.
It’s the result of a special youth program started by owner Emmanuel Rutasira, who supports young farmers by providing free seedlings and market access.
The 37 young growers involved, motivated by the success of older generations, deliver their handpicked cherries to Fugi for processing.
The station emphasises quality, with detailed sorting, meticulous washing, and slow drying methods inspired by traditional cooking.
The result is a coffee that captures the rich flavors and vibrant spirit of Rwanda’s specialty coffee scene, driven by smallholders and sustainable practices.
