Description
One of the most famous coffee regions in the world, farmers in Colombia have been producing and exporting coffee for more than two centuries.
Tumbaga is sourced via a sustainable supply chain that supports farmers across Colombia’s coffee regions and follows harvest times to ensure coffee is at its peak.
About this coffee
While most decaf coffees on the market use older coffees, Tumbaga promises nothing but high quality beans.
This helps to bring out the coffee’s sweet and chocolatey notes – something that isn’t easy to do since the decaffeination process will usually increase the coffee’s sweetness and acidity.
Therefore, on the ground in Colombia, only beans with high body, high sweetness and low acidity are sourced.
The Sugarcane Decaf process is a completely natural process that sweetens the coffee further, extracting the caffeine without also extracting the complex flavour compounds.
The result is a beautifully sweet coffee that you may not believe is decaf at first. Seriously – it doesn’t have that lingering ‘decaf’ flavour like other coffees do. Instead, you’ll notice the sweet notes of apple, caramel and chocolate.
